I have a Subaru Forester2023 I reported a problem with the anti-collision which in the first 2 months braked forcefully 3 times, the last time on Thomas Street in Perth for no reason. No cars around us no impediments of any kind. The car braked suddenly throwing my husband and myself toward the windscreen stopped only by our seatbelts. I was so frightened that I have turned this service off as if we had had cars around us we would have caused a major accident. I reported this to my dealer and they could find nothing wrong?? I had a Mazda 6 for three years that engaged this system 3 times the difference being a controlled soft gathered stop and the reasons were valid though not wholly necessary, compared to the Subaru which makes an loud grinding noise and a hard jarring stop be scary. This is why I disconnected the system and have read about previous models doing the same, one being a family of four on a freeway again for no reason and the were lucky to survive.
