In September 2019, I traded a 2012 Ford F150 6 cylinder Ecoboost with large cabin, seating 5, for 2020 Ascent Limited, seats 8. I bought because it had towing capacity for a boat and a horse trailer. I get good gas mileage, it is comfortable, hauls well and I have had no problems with it despite the multiple recall. I am very happy with the Ascent. I am skeptical about an all electric Ascent matching the towing capacity of my current vehicle. Even if it will be able to haul the weight, I suspect the mile range would dramatically go down. I saw a YouTube video of a large BMW hauling a camper and the range was 50% of the range without a camper. I would not be satisfied with that kind of performance.
