I own a 2021 Subaru Ascent Touring and I noticed a chip at the center of the windshield about the size of a penny. I called my insurance (Wawanessa) which covers free of charge for repair as long as the windshield does not require replacement. The repair the shop (Safelite AutoGlass) used a resin fill method. There is still a blemish and a slight noticeable hairline crack (1/4 inch) within the repair.
I'm wondering if the lawsuit settlement will cover this existing repair by replacing the windshield.
