I own a 2020 Subaru Forester. I noticed the windshield cracked and Inhad it replaced in 2023.
Them approx one year later it cracked again and since I didn't want to pay the insurance $500 deductible I just had safeoite fill the crack in.
I assumed something must have hit the windshield - but in all my 50 years of driving I have never had a cracked windshield.

Questions:
1. How does Subaru determine if the cracked windshield qualifies for reimbursement?
2. Should I have my current cracked windshield replaced now and fork out another $500 to the insurance company and send documentation in for both windshields?

Thanks,
Kerry
