I had something similar happen to me in May 2009. I was driving my 2007 Outback to work when a 1999 Ford Explorer lost its brakes and hit me in an offset head on collision at 30 mph. The front end accordioned, the engine dropped and was driven into the transmission, airbags went off, but I WALKED away with just a sore shoulder. Both my wife and I are are Subaru drivers for life, because that is what the car saves: your life.
