My daughter was just in an accident in her 2019 Outback. An uninsured driver in a Kia ran a red light at high speed as she was pulling into the intersection. Same thing, the engine was totalled, but all airbags deployed and she walked away with minor cuts and bruises. The Kia did not deploy airbags, and they went to the hospital with face lacerations that wouldn't stop bleeding. I believe my daughter is alive because of the Subaru safety features. We just replaced her car with another Outback!
