I have a 2003 Rava 4 with 137,000 miles on my car. My transmission went out at 85,000 miles - there was a recall on 2001, 2002 & 2003 Rava 4 . However, Toyota would not honor the recall & I had to pay $5,780 out of my pocket. I could not afford a lawyer, so their customer service sucks ! I took it to Toyota to see if I could trade it in on a newer used car. I took all of my paperwork concerning the recall transmission & thought they would give me a fair trade in & due to the low mileage. My car was in great shape & I kept up with the maintenance. I was hoping for at least $2,500 - they said they would give me $1,000 only ! 🙄
