2022 SR5 4x4:
I loved my 2000 4Runner, but I thought a full sized pickup might be more practical for the many home improvements our cheap house would need. Boy, do I miss my 4Runner.
Our Tundra drives wonderfully, it has an insane amount of options (someone over ordered on this one) and it's Army green, which we love! But... I knew better than to buy the first model year and I did it anyway.
I/we are so disappointed in the mountain of recalls and trips to the dealership! Frankly, I'm worried I will never feel as confident in the reliability of a Toyota again... If you can't trust a Toyota, what do you do when it's time to get your next vehicle?! Toyota and Lexus WERE the gold standard... What now?
I think buying back or replacing the trucks with new CORRECTED and WARRANTIED vehicles is the least Toyota can do. They really should give us some money back or a company credit for the time and gas spent to fix every recall. Or give us a purchase option at cost and a fair trade value and/or rebate to cover the lose in valuation. If they were creative and proactive, they could spin this into a company and quality positive. We stand behind our vehicles and do the right thing when we find a mistake. REWARD your loyal customers, and have them forever!
Or continue to inconvenience us and lose a huge group of devoted buyers and marketing machines!
Fix it, if you can't, then replace it Toyota!! This isn't complicated... do the right thing.
