I had a similar mishap years ago. Mine was a Jeep that wouldn't go into 4 wheel drive. I went back to the dealer and had multiple calls about it. They told me it was not supposed to be sold that they knew the problem but it was on the showroom floor. I had to hire an attorney's and actually had to go to court over this. My attorney and the time involved was extremely costly. But it was the point of them selling it when they already knew the problem existed. I did it for the principle of not wanting to let them get away with it. In the end I gave it back and never bought another Jeep again.
