This is really hard to believe. 20k miles over 24 days is about 833 miles/day. Traveling at 75 mph, that's about 11 hours a day. Add in spots for eating, bathroom, gas and it's more. That doesn't leave any time to visit anywhere on any day. Going down route 1 would mean they were traveling slower than 75 mph. Stickers indicate time to stop. It just doesn't add up. And San Diego to Pittsburg in 36 is virtually impossible as well. No stops, not even for gas, and no traffic the whole time would be the only way.
I didn't do the math to prove you wrong. I've driven the areas listed too much to not know this information.
All this does is make me question not just the writer, but the whole magazine.
