I agree, 3k is the optimal oil change interval. People don't read theor owner's manual in detail enough to see that the extended oil change interval is for those that barely ever drive theor vehicles as well as don't drive in stop and go or heavy traffic, nor idle for more than 1 minute, nor make frequent stops or short trips. Basically a granny that goes to church a mile away, and the grocery store on Sunday
