I took my car to the dealership, had it towed by AAA actually bc my battery was dead and the key daub no longer worked. The car was locked when it left my house. The dealership had it over 2 and 1/2 weeks from replace the fuses and the battery. When I got it back I found that my car had been ransacked and a huge amount of my belongings were stolen out of it. After getting the run around for a month I was told they aren't responsible for anything that happens to my car while in their possession. I am beside myself, bc clearly this wouldn't have happened if their employees would've locked my car while they were waiting to fix it. But they didn't and I'm left with approx 2500 worth of things that were stolen out of my car. And a dealership that I used to like for their mechanic expertise has now really stepped over the line with my car. I feel betrayed and I wasn't aware they weren't liable for my car while it was there in their property. How can that be? I didn't sign anything making me aware of that nor was I told anything if the sort. How can I get these crooks to pay for what was stolen bc of their mistake in not locking my car while in their possession?
