Part of me wonders, how susceptible are these machines to space particles bit flipping critical memory? Most of these service techs are just given general modular design training and a flow chart. Heck, I can't even remember the last time I looked at signals through an oscilloscope for work.

All I'm saying is, how susceptible to external environmental factors are their vehicles? Engineers have a tendency of overlooking the obvious at times.
