To be fair, if you have a GM truck transmission and haven't serviced it in 75,000 miles, it will likely fail before 100,000 miles. Any extra stress on it (like hard acceleration, towing, lift kits, up-sized wheels and tires) only makes the transmission more likely to fail. And if your truck doesn't have a transmission cooler (option on the SLT/Texas Edition, I believe), the situation is even worse.

Secondly, if you put a new transmission in your truck and it only lasts 11,000 miles, the shop did something wrong and should warranty the replacement. I got a 100,000 mile warranty on my wife's GM replacement transmission when we bought it.
