We purchased a new 2017 TACOMA SR5. At about 76000 miles the Torque Converter had to be replaced in 2024 ($4000). Other than that issue we've had not other issues with the truck. We had a 1988 version previously and put about 400k miles on it. We've also traded in our 2010 4 Runner Limited (196k) for a new 2024 version. We love Toyotas.
