Remote start works even when your subscription has expired. Make sure it's locked...by pressing the lock button. Wait a second or two and the press lock button 2x and then lock again but hold on the third. It's easy and anyone who knows how to use Google could have figured this out. This is probably the 3rd or 4th article I've read about this but for some reason people have the time to write about it but don't have maybe 5 minutes to search for the answer.
