I would actually be thrilled with this development if it pans out to be true. The GR86 and BRZ should remain naturally aspirated. For one, it keeps them affordable. Secondly, there are so few options available for those of us who want naturally aspirated sports cars. Want a fun lightweight turbo car? Get a Supra, Z, Type-R, Golf R, 718 Cayman, Mini Cooper, etc. There are a bunch more but they start to get more expensive and/or heavier. Want a fun lightweight NA? Get a Miata or a GR86/BRZ. That's it. Two options.
