I work at Gigafactory Nevada. I can attest to the fact that there are poor drivers among the three brands listed in the article. I see it on my daily drive to work: the high speed, the threading the needle, etc. I also see the sedate driving of a lot of Teslas. My son is a Tesla driver. He has a dual motor, model Y. He is insured through Tesla and drives like a Grandpa to get the better rate.
As to the idea that Teslas have poor brakes , somebody missed the boat. The braking is excellent. The regenerative braking plus hydraulic assist hauls the car down from speed impressively. Most that I have seen have 4 piston calipers that are mostly found on higher performance vehicles. The mass of the vehicle is a factor and if relying solely on hydraulic brakes there could be a problem.
Just my 2 cents.
