I hope she sees what a good daughter you are by it. Not all kids will ask for help when family situations arrive. 

Personally, I did not like some "suck it up" advice given in some of the responses. With older drivers, a little guidance is a better approach I think.

Best wishes on finding a good solution for both of you.
