I've known this for ever. Most all cars I've ever owned do that when a bulb is out. Dating back over 50 years. I've owned two RAV4 since 2007. The 2010 one I still own 238,000 miles. Neither one of these cars never had any burned out bulbs. Best car ever. My 2010 has never been in the shop except to put in new front shocks
