I'm not saying it is the problem. But the tint could be an issue. These cars are basically dozens of computers, connected to dozens of sensors, actuators, radar, lidar, cameras etc.. all interconnected by several high speed networks. If the tint is throwing off one of the forward facing caneras it could shut down the whole network, including brakes, steering, suspension & drive motors.
