So, I purchased my 2024 Grand Highlander platinum in September 2023. It wasn't the exact color I wanted (interior and exterior was), but it was a significant upgrade from the Hyundai Palisade platinum I had (at least in my opinion).

The reason why I found out about the recall was because of my carfax app. Like other Grand Higherlander owners, I was very concerned about this serious safety issue. I should say... I had a similar experience with my 2023 Hyundai Palisade SEL premium (that was the trim of the SUV not a platinum. I needed to make that correction). The fact I was driving around in my Grand Highlander for several months with this safety issue had me on edge; however, I decided to tough it out.

I was happy when they finally had a remedy for the problem, but I still had to wait an additional two months before I could get my car fixed.

I finally got it fixed in I believe January of this year 🙄. This is the first Toyota I've ever owned and I'll get another one again, but it'll be an older model.
