I have a 2025 Forester and my husband has a 2024 Crosstrek. They both have the bigger screens. The larger size is easier for us to see and navigate the screens. Subaru offers a meeting with a specialist who goes over all the controls. We can also call during business hours (of course not when we're driving) and ask questions. We actually love the updated technology. We're both in our 60s and don't have any negative concerns about the screens.
