I went from a 2015 Mazda 3i hatchback with a tiny screen & no Car Play to a 2024 Subaru Impreza. I LOVE the touchscreen and the Car Play integration. I use the buttons on the steering wheel for almost everything-volume, radio station changes, calls, texts, navigation... If you don’t like the screen you can turn it off & still have access the climate control.
