Hard to understand the reason for some to "groan and bemoan" the increase in CAFE standards, when the consequences include spending less at the pump, increasing national security and inviting designers and engineers to unbridle their innovation creating transportation products we would be delighted to buy.

The same applies to your request to solicit corporations to do the same. Reducing costs and increasing innovation increase shareholder value too.
