Ford is adding 4 more vehicle models to the lineup of 11 total that will offer an EcoBoost option for higher efficiency and better economy. This will expand availability of the more efficient option and triple production capacity of EcoBoost engines in Ford's lineup.

The new Ford Focus has helped Ford grow in popularity among the C segment sedan and hatchback market but in an effort to answer consumer demands, the Motor Company is planning to begin offering a manual transmission option for the highline Focus Titanium option rather than just offering it on the lower level S and SE models.

Legend has it that in the early 1930s, Edsel Ford was in Europe and saw some of the roadster designs being built by auto designers there and wanted one for himself. Being a Ford, of course, he couldn't just buy one. He had to have it made. So he returned home and commissioned Ford's chief designer at the time, E.T. Gregorie, to make him a speedster. In 1934, the one-off Model 40 Special Speedster was born.

Ford Motor Company and the folks at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have announced a recall of 2004 and 2005 model year Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans over a concern that they may have been built with defective torque convertor output shafts – a problem that could leave the vehicle “dead in the water” if the output shaft was to fail on the open road.
