Actually, having a solar roof is an excellent idea for ANY electric vehicle (SUV, sedan, truck, Semi, etc.), as the technology basically allows to widely extend the range of the vehicles, and on the other hand, would permit to drive almost entirely by getting energy directly from the sun. Some automotive engineers believe solar power may be the solution to many other issues in that regard.

The new 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has reportedly increased the battery capacity from 72.6 kWh to 77.5 kWh. Accordingly, the current Korean official mileage (at room temperature) of the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is expected to increase from 423 km to 480 to 490 km. Hyundai will increase the number of existing 2.4kW battery modules from 30 to 32. This is the result of maximizing the space of the EV-only platform E-GMP with the same battery capacity as the Kia EV6.

As per the latest news available, and according to a Reuters source, China's Ganfeng Lithium Co. Ltd. and its unit GFL International Co Ltd have signed a contract to supply battery-grade lithium products to Tesla. Ganfeng, the world's top lithium company by market capitalization, has already supplied battery-grade lithium to EV producers including Tesla.

Inductive wireless charging would provide ease and convenience of charging for the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck, without the requirement of any charging cables. It would really be a an important feature, and the company probably has already thought about the pros and cons of implementing it, even if there is no official statement or any twit from Elon Musk that would hint anything in that direction.
