As buyers have been quick to snatch up the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with the new 8-speed automatic transmission, it has created a surplus of models with a manual transmission so if you want to buy the 707hp muscle car this year, the 6-speed manual transmission shouldn’t be a sticking point in your purchasing decision.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has basically been not-for-sale for several months now due to the massive backlog of orders and as the company begins to wind down the hectic 2015 model year, several items have been removed from the build page on Dodge.com, including the 8-speed automatic transmissions and all of the option packages.

While Ford Motor Company is focused on the launch of the new Shelby GT350 Mustang, the muscle car community is still eagerly discussing the prospect of a GT500 Mustang to rival the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and in those discussions, two interesting rumors have cropped up – including a Mustang with the monster EcoBoost from the Ford GT and a forced induction version of the GT350 flat plane V8.

We still don’t have the official weight figures for the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, but based on comments made by Camaro mastermind Al Oppenheiser when speaking with Autoblog, it sounds as though the turbocharged 4-cylinder Chevy muscle car could weigh significantly less than the popular EcoBoost Mustang – which could help make up for the power differential between the two.
