When initially teasing the Cybertruck’s design, Elon Musk said it looks like “an armored personnel carrier from the future.” Now, a new Cybertruck modification pushes the Cybertruck in that direction as the truck gets fitted with tank threads.
Stock from the factory, the Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most capable off-roading vehicles currently on the market.
To help it navigate challenging terrains, the Cybertruck comes standard with an industry-leading 17.4 inches of ground clearance with 12 inches of suspension travel.
The Cybertruck also features large 35-inches all-terrain tires, 4-wheel steering to extricate you out of tight off-roading situations, Wade Mode that pressurizes the battery pack and allows you to drive through water, a stainless steel exoskeleton that can handle the elements without any issue and so on.

With all these advantages, the Cybertruck is enough to satisfy anyone's off-roading needs; however, what if you want to take the Cybertruck’s already impressive off-roading capabilities to the next level?
That’s precisely what one aftermarket vehicle modification garage has done. A few hours ago, SparkMotorsSMCO released a picture of their latest modification project.
The vehicle shop removed the 22-inch wheels and 35-inch tires and replaced them with tank threads on all four wheels.
These threads significantly increase the contact area between the Cybertruck and the ground, thus allowing the vehicle to disperse its weight much more freely.
In addition to better weight distribution, the tank threads also measurably increase the Cybertruck’s surface friction, giving the truck a better grip on slippery surfaces.
This is ideal for driving the Cybertruck on soft, boggy surfaces like snow and sand. With these tracks, the Cybertruck becomes the best vehicle for the winter climate.
Although SparkMotor’s Cybertruck modification is exciting, as it stands now, the X account hasn’t released a detailed explanation about the project.
However, we’re sure we’ll learn more about this unique Cybertruck modification in the coming few days, and we will keep you posted when we learn more about the issue.
Until then, make sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.
So what do you think? Excited to see a Cybertruck with tank threads? Will You make the same modifications to your own Cybertruck? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Your title has a misspelling, it should be Treads not Threads.
Thank you.
This modification looks very…
This modification looks very cool. But it is definitely not inexpensive or particularly practical. I prefer the Track N Go (drive-in) tread system far more. I don't know if is currently compatible to the Cybertruck, but I'd bet that it is. Importantly, the Track N Go system just secures onto a stock truck and adds tank style treads for better snow grip and functionality. This means that you could probably share the Track-N-Go system with other trucks, and not render your Cybertruck useless for the rest of the year.
