How AI Controls and Automates Tesla Vehicles

Tesla AI is driving its vehicles and will continue to get more automated. Here is a play by play of someone using AI to do most of their car tasks for them and what they envision for the future.

AI Automation of Tesla Vehicles

A Tesla Model 3 owner gives a play by play of how Tesla AI is automating its vehicles and doing most things for the drivers that they may not even know are happening. Here it is:

At around 11:55 PM, this owner of a Model 3 arrives home and goes to sleep. The Tesla app looks at his calendar and sees a meeting with Dave for coffee at 9:00 AM.

The Tesla app sees that the owner is going to be doing 127 miles of driving. Before 9:00 AM, the car starts charging and preconditioning the battery.

The owner wakes up and gets in the car at a perfect 72 degrees, and the navigation is set to the local coffee shop of the meet up.

FSD Beta drives to the coffee shop.

The owner of the model 3 meets with Dave and has coffee.

The Tesla app notices that the location proximity between him and the car is increasing. The Model 3 summons itself and picks up the owner at the curb.

The navigation is already set and FSD Beta navigates to the next calendar event, which is a Walmart.

Further Automation

Tesla FSD Beta drives the owner to the Walmart and drops him off at the front door. Using the phone GPS, the Tesla app sees that the owner is checking out and sees a payment for $42.95 was just processed.

The vehicle is summoned to the exact spot it dropped the owner off at. He gets in the car, and it takes him to his next destination, a McDonald's.

Tesla AI looks at the 4 different McDonald's around him and calculates the wait times. It sees option 3 will be the quickest with its knowledge, and routes him to that destination.

FSD handles the driving and pulls up to the order window, where the owner of the Model 3 orders. FSD goes to the payment and pickup window.

AI was able to see that the owner purchased a plane ticket from San Francisco, California to Miami, Florida. FSD navigates to the airport, which is 62 miles away. FSD drops him off at the terminal.

Smart summon goes and finds an EV parking spot in the parking garage.

Using the calendar, it sees the owner will be back in 3 days and the Model 3 is charged at 26%. The Model 3 will be shutdown in the parking spot for 52 hours.

The Model 3 wakes up at 25% charge and searches the parking garage for an EV parking spot. Using Tesla vision, the car detects a wall connector, and it backs into the space.

20 minutes later, Tesla vision notices a man approaching the vehicle and uses the boombox via the PWS, the car asks the man to plug the car in and he does so. The car charges to 87% charge.

Tesla tracks and sees the flight, and it has just landed coming back from Miami. Using location and traffic data, the vehicle exits the parking garage, paying contactless at the ticket booth, and moves to terminal C and picks the owner up. FSD then navigates home.

What's wild about this is that this will soon be a reality for anyone owning or renting a Tesla vehicle.
