The Tesla singularity is near, and this means Tesla will be run by bots and AI, much more than it is by humans.
The Tesla Singularity Is Near
Tesla is going to experience a singularity relatively soon, just like what Ray Kurzweil talks about in his book, "The Singularity Is Near" - more on what I mean by that in a minute.
Investment banks in the U.S. believe that Tesla is significantly undervalued and with their predictions, they are essentially saying that Tesla is a much healthier company than what others have claimed.
They say that Tesla is undervalued by as much as 50%. Tesla as an investment goes up and down like a yo-yo. Short sellers have lost billions of dollars and one of them - a hedge fund manager - has lot so much manager that he has closed that fund.
Tesla has received an outperform rating from Wedbush, and Dan Ives recently said that Elon Musk did a "poker move for the ages" in dropping prices in order to sell more volume.
Wedbush says that Tesla should deliver 480,000 vehicles in Q4 2023. Tesla has been close to all-time highs in China deliveries recently, according to insurance data.
Tesla guided for 1.8 million deliveries in 2023, but could deliver 50,000 more than that. Wedbush has a $350 price target for Tesla, from $250 today.

When Will The Tesla Singularity Happen?
The value of what Tesla is not what they are doing today - not quite. Tesla is certainly tracking to exceed its guidance this year, and that is great. However, what Tesla is doing today matters because it sets it up for the future. What matters is what Tesla will be in the future.
We don't know what Tesla profits will be in Q4 - probably higher than Q3 due to the reduction in materials and costs of battery packs per kWh, which continue to decline over time.
Wedbush is very optimistic about the future of Tesla and expects Tesla to grow 25% to 30% in 2024. That means about 2.3 million deliveries in 2024, causing Tesla to leapfrog BMW and Mercedes and be one of the biggest auto companies in the world.
Tesla is having strong Model Y sales in Europe and throughout the world. The Model Y is an amazing vehicle with a staggering amount of space: 10 suitcases can fit in the trunk and frunk.
Even so, Tesla, if valued as only a car company, is the most overvalued car company in the history of the world. Tesla is worth SEVEN BYD's put together.
Tesla is not valued as a car company, though. Elon Musk even said that Tesla is an AI/robotics company.
The Tesla Singularity
The technological singularity, as described by Ray Kurzweil, is when technology reaches a point that it is beyond what humans can predict.
The Tesla singularity will happen - probably by 2030 - and will look something like this:
- Tesla has automation and robots doing most of its work - freeing up its work force to do machine learning, AI work, and data labeling/training
- Staff doing actual work on machines and car parts will be very limited
- Tesla will be making cars in India, Mexico, and around the world, with existing Gigafactories expanded for compact and sub-compact vehicles
- Tesla Megapacks will be sold around the world, stabilizing energy for the globe
- Supercharging will be available around the world - and exceptionally fast
- Tesla vehicle will be AI robots, autonomously driving and used as a "hive" to do additional AI training and work
- Tesla Bots will begin to replace the general labor force on earth doing dangerous and repetitive tasks
The interesting thing is that most of Tesla's employees won't be working in factories in the way they are now - they will be training AI and making sure the robots are functioning instead of doing the work themselves.
The big question is, will Tesla have to fire most of its work force when AI and robotics take over, or will there be new jobs for these staff to take on. I think they will be able to take on data labeling and machine learning roles.
Tesla is going to be a much different looking company in a decade than it is now, and that is exciting as a Tesla investor. My hope is that employees will be able to adjust to new roles in AI and robotics over time as the company evolves.

What do you think about the Tesla singularity happening by 2030? Will Tesla be a very different company then than it is today? Will Tesla have to fire most of its work force, or will they take on new roles with AI and robotics?
