R.T. Fitch, a Cybertruck owner from Magnolia, Texas, was initially concerned when he saw a woman fiddling around his truck’s windshield.
However, the Cybertruck owner, who claims to be a retired Santa, found his fear transformed into a pleasant surprise when he proceeded to investigate what had occurred.
To his surprise, instead of an act of vandalism or a rude note, the Cybertruck owner found a $20 gift card to Ruby Tuesday tacked behind his windshield wiper.
Now, thanks to the mysterious woman who left him the gift card, he says he’ll treat himself to some mozzarella sticks and perhaps a burger.
The happy Cybertruck owner who likes to cosplay as Santa shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
He writes…
“When suspected vandalism turns into a surprise
Yikes. I just got home from my weekend work project—you know, the kind of gig a retired Santa takes on when the sleigh’s parked and the reindeer are off-duty. (What can I say? Post-Christmas boredom is real.)
On a total whim, I decided to check the Cybertruck's security camera footage—because hey, paranoia loves company—and lo and behold, something did catch my eye.
Some woman approached my Cybertruck and appeared to do something near the driver’s side windshield or mirror.
Cue dramatic music and a mini heart attack.”
Given all the negative sentiment towards Tesla and Elon Musk, R.T. Fitch is justified in his concerns; however, he notes that his worries turned into excitement once he closely checked out his Cybertruck.
He writes…
“Now, I hadn’t noticed anything wrong when I hopped in earlier, but let’s be honest—my mind was somewhere between 'What’s for dinner?' and 'Did I leave the garage door open?’ So I mustered my courage, channeled my inner sleuth, and ventured into the garage to confront the potential crime scene.
And there it was.
Nestled under the wiper blade, like a sly little treasure, was… wait for it… a $20 Ruby Tuesday gift card.
No broken glass or scratches. No ominous note. Just a surprise snack voucher from an anonymous parking lot ninja.”
This is wonderful news, and R.T. Fitch expresses his gratitude for the gift, mentioning that he’ll be treating himself to some fast food.
He continues to write…
“I stood there in dumbfounded silence, holding the card like it was some kind of golden ticket. I had braced for vandalism but instead got mozzarella sticks and maybe a burger. What a plot twist.
To the mystery gift-giver: wherever you are, thank you for not holding some imaginary grudge against this grizzled old Santa and his shiny electric truck. Your random act of kindness did more than earn you lunch karma—it restored a little faith in humankind.
And yes, you can expect something extra sparkly under your tree this Christmas. That’s a Claus promise.
What is the moral of the story? Sometimes, fear and suspicion pull into the driveway… but they leave with gratitude and a side of fries.
Peace on, brothers and sisters. And tip your elves.”
This is a nice story, and below his post, R.T. Fitch shared a video taken by his Cybertruck’s sentry camera.
The footage shows a woman approaching R.T. Fitch’s Cybertruck from the front, temporarily stopping around the windshield, reaching over to the vehicle, and then continuing on her path.
Considering the various acts of vandalism we’ve witnessed, it’s understandable that R.T. Fitch thought something harmful had occurred when viewing the video. However, as he mentioned, he was met with kindness instead of harm.
Looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners were happy to see what had transpired, and some even shared other positive experiences they had encountered on the road.
One Cybertruck owner shares a video of a tinted white Cadillac Escalade approaching his truck. The back window rolls down; things seem shady so far; however, the whole interaction ends up completely positive as a young boy simply waves his hands at the Cybertruck driver.
Overall, it’s nice to see some positive interactions shared by Cybertruck owners. However, please let me know what you think in the comments.
