The Tesla Cybertruck is set to start production toward the end of this year, 2022, and I think it will be the last vehicle you will ever need to own. Here's why.
Tesla Cybertruck is the Last Vehicle You Will Ever Need
It's a long range mode of transport
The highest end version of the Cybertruck that was on record was a tri-motor version that was stated to go up to 500 miles on a charge. With that option no longer going to be available upon release, the next option up is a quad-motor Cybertruck.
What will the quad-motor Cybertruck offer? I think 500 miles of range will still be what you will get even with the extra motor. It will still have a fast 0 to 60 mph, probably around 2.9 seconds. But the 500 miles of range will be what makes this the only vehicle you need to drive, even on long road trips.
It can charge itself with solar panels
There is likely going to be an option for the Cybertruck to have solar panels on it so that the truck can charge while in the sun, whether driving or not. This will give it an extra range and boost of energy, so that if the stated range is 500 miles per charge, with solar panels, you might get 600 miles per charge - it just depends how much you are in the sun and how often you are parked.
I plan on getting a Cybertruck with solar panels - assuming they aren't outrageously expensive. I was quoted for solar panels for my condo and the price was $11,000. I don't use much energy each month, and if the cost of the solar panels was $5,000 or less, then I would do it.
You can camp with it
Tesla has something called camp mode that lets you put your vehicle in a mode that conserves energy and focuses on allowing you to enjoy a nice temperature with lighting inside the vehicle.
In fact, if you own any kind of trailer or attachment to the Cybertruck, it looks like you could even sleep in your Cybertruck and live in it. This is something I've pondered as I get closer to my retirement years. Having just a Cybertruck to manage and maintain would eliminate the hassles that come with owning a home or even renting.
It can transport your belongings
Not only will the Cybertruck be the perfect vehicle for your every day commute, it will allow you to transport things. This is nice if you need to move somewhere, or if you just want to bring some items along to go camping.
The Cybertruck will also have a large towing capacity, upwards of 13,000 pounds, so if you do have a trailer or any attachment, you can be certain the Cybertruck will be able to pull it.
It will perform very well
The Cybertruck will have a fast acceleration, just like all of Tesla's vehicles. This will make it the ideal cross between performance and a long lasting charge from the battery.
With solar panels, and a calm driving style, I think there are people that might be able to indefinitely use their Cybertruck without ever having to charge it.
You could live in it if you needed to
As mentioned earlier, you could live in your Cybertruck if you wanted to. If you had a gym membership, you could take care of all your showering and bathroom needs at the gym. It might not be the most convenient thing, but it would cover that need unless you had a camper attachment for that.
If you needed to use the restroom frequently, you could buy a plot of land where your Cybertruck was parked and you could take care of the restroom needs with a simple out house setup or portable bathroom. That may sound funny and isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it would make a livable situation.
It will survive the apocalypse
Elon Musk has stated that the Cybertruck will have post apocalyptic features - ranging from solar panels, to the ability to cook things with appliances in the Cybertruck.
Because the Cybertruck is a large source of energy and can be charged with solar panels, you can use its cooking tools to make whatever food you want. I wonder if the Cybertruck will have any kind of refrigerator - that would be great if it does. A Cyberlandr would take care of this.
It will last a life time
The Cybertruck will be made with rolled stainless steel. After doing some research online, with some care, the Cybertruck could last 50 years, probably requiring just some tire and battery changes along the way.
This is a big deal. It means the Cybertruck could be the last vehicle you'll ever need to buy. I plan on it being my last vehicle I ever need to buy, how about you?
Are you planning on buying a Tesla Cybertruck? Will it be the last vehicle you'll ever need?
