Jeep is showing off one of its special-run colors that will be available straight from the factory. The new hue will be popular no matter where adventure takes you!
Just in time for Spring and beach outings, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler is getting an all-new color. This is the fifth special paint color that Jeep has added to its collection over the years and the shade called Gobi (like the desert in Asia) is certain to be popular.
Jeep Special Run Colors
Gobi, which is a soft sand color, follows other special hues like last year’s Tuscadero Pink, Nacho Orange and Gecko Green. Gobi will be available for both the 2022 Jeep Wrangler and the 2022 Jeep Gladiator. It is available for order starting now. Gobi was available as an exclusive Gladiator color back in 2020.
“Customization is at the core of both Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “Gobi is the fifth special-edition color the Jeep brand has offered on the current generations of Gladiator and Wrangler, in addition to Tuscadero, Gecko, Nacho and Chief, all of which strengthen the enthusiastic identity of our loyal and avid Jeep community.”
Gobi Can Be Ordered Straight from the Factory
The special paint color is a $495 option and can be ordered up until June of 2022. It can be ordered on all trim levels, including Sport, Sahara, Mojave, Rubicon, 4xe and 392.
Because the specialty color comes straight from the factory, it carries the regular vehicle warranty. Another added bonus is that because it is a real Jeep color, you should be able to easy find touch up paint if you are ever in an accident. A frequent problem with after-market paint jobs is that if your vehicle is ever damaged, replacement paint can be hard to match if you can even find it. Another plus is that Mopar may have accessories that match or complement the color perfectly. Some of the special-run shades have been so popular that Jeep extends the ordering period. The company did that last year for Tuscadero. However, don’t count on that happening. If the color called Gobi calls to you, make sure you have your order in by June 20th, 2022.
