While we don’t know the exact number just yet, General Motors has reportedly turned in a record Nürburgring lap of some sort for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and according to chief engineer Tadge Juechter, we should all know how fast the C7 Z06 got around the Ring very soon.

When the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was introduced last month in Detroit, we learned that the new generation GM muscle car would come with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine similar to that offered in the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, but based on the specifications of the Camaro turbo 4, it seems very unlikely that GM will see the same success from their fuel-sipping model as Ford does – at least not in the United States.

Roughly 16 months ago, a sinkhole under the floor of the National Corvette Museum Skydome exhibit opened up and swallowed eight Corvette show cars, but the fully restored display area will reopen next month in the same form as before the Earth tried to claim those special American sports cars.

A Car was on Fire on Saturday in Kaufman County Texas over the weekend and a strong smell of fuel was reported. To our surprise it wasn’t a Chevy Volt, or Tesla or Nissan Leaf according to reports. It was a gas car fire. The Story didn’t even state what type of car it was; however, from the video you can tell it wasn’t one of the three vehicles I referenced above.

General Motors brags about the Chevrolet Camaro outselling the Ford Mustang each of the past five years, but when you look at historic sales based on model year rather than calendar year, the Mustang has outsold the Camaro a whopping 42 times in the past 51 years – with Ford selling over 4.2 million more Mustangs than Chevy has sold Camaros.
