I was so happy when this feature failed. I wish I'd figured out it could be disabled back in 2015. About 130k miles on it without an accident, but I have had MANY unnerving moments of delayed response in which I felt I might get hit while entering traffic from a stop. If anything, this system "taught" me to accelerate hard from a stop in order to help compensate for the lag. Nothing about it is safe.
