I don't believe there is anything you can do, I could not see driving in Mississippi w/o AC. I'd pay the price for the condenser and put it up for sale immediately, that situation won't get better. GM is having trouble moving their trucks and are discounting them significantly, that takes a toll and apparently that is in funding production of replacement parts. What you might be able to do is convince your dealer to take the truck as a trade on a new one with the cost of the new condenser and the labor subtracted from the price GM is already giving. I've heard of Jeep dealers doing that. I get brand loyalty and all that, however I am a former GM owner for exactly this reason - and my dad told me so before I bought it, I won't make that mistake again.
