I had this issue on my 2010 corrola S in Super white. The worst of the damage was on the front hood. Took it into the Toyota dealership, they assessed it and deemed that they would paint the hood free of charge. I noted to them that there were also areas where the pain have failed on the roof as well as some of the door panels. However I was told that the chipping needed to be at least a quarter inch diameter peeled off in order to qualify per the standards set by Toyota corporate. The dealer in my town was very sympathetic and told me that they would check in another six months to see if the other areas that were not fixed would fall under the criteria at a later time. The deadline for these repairs is December 2022 so if you’re having any tripping issues I would recommend taking it into a Toyota dealer and having it assessed.
