2015 Corolla Eco started chipping around the hood towards the beginning of 2020. During one of my services with Toyota I brought up the recall and was given the number to a 3rd party repair shop. I waited until the first week of January of this year 2022 to take my car to the shop where they took pictures of the areas that were chipping and said they would be submitting the claim to Toyota and should be getting a response within 3-4 weeks. I waited until mid march to call Toyota corporate as I had not heard back and was told I would need to contact the dealership but would send an email to them to have them call me back the next day. Waited 2 weeks until I got a call back from the customer relations manager who was ready to schedule a time for me to bring the car in. He told me the repair would take up to 10 days so I asked if I would be provided a rental in the mean time but he said he would have to get back to me as there is a shortage in rentals. Never got a call back so I called again and left a message mid May. Called again the following week and again was told he would have to look into coordinating a rental and would call me back the same day. And now 3 weeks later I called AGAIN and he didnt even know I went to the 3rd party shop and had the pictures taken. He wanted to call me back later to "look at the schedule" but I told him I was not going keep waiting and needed an appointment now. I dont even want to wait for a rental. He agreed and asked me to take my car tomorrow so fingers crossed it gets fixed!
