I have a 2008 Highlander with paint peel issues on the hood and front bumper. It is an absolute eyesore. I called Toyota headquarters and was informed that even though the paint used is blizzard pearl 070, the Highlander is not covered in the voluntary recall. It doesn’t make sense that it’s a defective paint, yet not all models are included In the recall. Toyota headquarters could not give a specific reason for it not being included and stated their is nothing I can do. I’m now looking into the class action suit in regards to this suit. I have been a Toyota owner for close to 40 years. It is a shame they are not taking care of this problem.
