I have a 2010 Prius that is now a very large paperweight. I started noticing all the above some time after 2014 when I moved to Michigan and started going to a new dealership. I kept telling them that there was something wrong, that it was not normal to burn so much oil between changes and hear a massive rattle when I started it on occasion. They told me nothing was wrong. Before I moved again they did finally have me replace a few things and my car seemed OK for a time. But now after three dealerships here in Mass and practically having to tear the car apart piece by piece, I have the answer. My engine is shot. It’s beyond frustrating because I knew something was wrong five years ago and no one would listen.
