Same issues but on a 2016 hyundai sonata limited. First time I searched for replacing a windshield I was met with a minimum $800 cost due to it being a "dealer only item" which meant I had to order directly from hyundai no matter who I bought the windshield from. Cheapest I was able to get out was $500 after making a insurance claim and paying a deductable.

2 months later my windshield was hit with a pebble on a main road and suffered a crack at the corner of the windshield, I placed some nail glue through the crack to prevent spreading which worked. About 6 months after that the bottom left corner was hit with a small rock and it literally shattered it all the way across, luckily there is tint on the inside of the window which probably prevented it from being completely destroyed, the crack goes pretty much all the way through.
