Looks like the newer vehicles regardless of the brand have the same issue with how crappy and fragile the windshield is. I just bought 2023 CX-30 brand new 2 weeks ago. Driving on highway and got a ding on the 3rd day driving to work. then a week later, a few more pinholes on the windshield while driving on highway to work. My previous 2011 Kia Forte didn't have the rock chips for the first 6 years. I drove this Kia every where and going through lots of winter driving, no rock chips. The windshield was way more durable! I strongly believe that these chips on newer vehicle is due to the crappy quality and the greedy corporations trying to make money off this "wear and tear" thing. What a world we live in.
