My 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness (like James G.) infotainment system, dashboard display, and all dials completely shut down and reset while driving 70-80 mph on the expressway in Houston, TX. Gillman Subaru Southwest was completely helpful and did a system reboot & update to the infotainment system. The Service manager said they've had other 2021-2023 Outbacks with the same issue and could only explain it as a glitch between the dashboard computer system and the infotainment computer system. He said that apparently when the two systems lose communication with each other, they then reboot themselves as a fail safe to regain communication. Luckily I was in the right lane and was able to coast with traffic until system rebooted. Additionally a bug that is annoying, I could use iPhone maps and directions without any issues, yet as soon as I plug into CarPlay the infotainment system loses track of my location, jumps to different areas of the map, tells me to do u-turns while on the expressway, etc. It's comical, yet frustrating and could really be safety issue.
