2021 Outback, purchased Nov.
2021 Outback, purchased Nov. 2020. I have had issue with this vehicle since three months after purchasing it in 2020, beginning with the USB ports not working, and the driver Monitoring System shutting down.. It has been in the shop around 100 days, give or take a few, with issues relating to the Starlink and Infotainment systems. None of the issues have been fixed, but because they aren't continual, they can't seem to be replicated in the shop. I've been made to feel like these issues are unheard of, caused by something I'm doing, or that I'm exaggerating. I have documented everything, (mostly in emails to Subaru of America), but my more recent emails to SoA regarding the issues, have gone unacknowledged. Last year, SoA sent me a letter mentioning the Lemon Law, and asking the shop for specific documentation. I was later told (by the shop manager) that SoA reprimanded him for my car being in there so many times for the same issues. A few days after that, I received an email from SoA, saying the shop has indicated all issues have been repaired satisfactorily, and my case has been closed. I still have no USB power; the Driver Monitoring System turns off 98% of the time; the map tends to show locations completely foreign to where I am; the Eye Sight System turns off randomly; the rear cameras rarely, if ever, pick up pedestrians anymore, and only occasionally a moving vehicle; the voice control turns off the radio and audible map directions, and doesn't accept commands; text messages no longer come through the Bluetooth; the Infotainment screen randomly turns off; and the speakers tend to turn off, or blare loudly after using the phone. My remote start app I paid for, stopped connecting 10 months after I purchased it. And now, the gasket on the sunroof has fallen off, so I can't slide it open, and I can't close the solid panel, but hey...I can tilt it up! the car goes back in the shop tomorrow for routine maintenance, and hopefully a fix to the audio system glitch, and take another shot at fixing the USB's, so I have access to Apple CarPlay, so I ca use Google Maps on the screen, rather than constantly looking down at my phone.
