Thanks for all the info here. Today i got the notice in the mail about the suit We got a 2022 Forester and about a month after purchase while on the hwy we heard a little tap sound on the windshield and a nasty bullseye and crack was now on the right side. Went to dealer and was told woops road hazard your bad not covered. Got a new window (not cheap) from the dealer then started looking into why did it break so easy because it is not normal. The rest of the story you know. I was pissed they would make such a crappy window. Fast forward a few months later guess what -same thing. Insurance co told us we may want try an after market windshield from Safelite. It is make by a Chinese owned co in the midwest It has worked out fine--have heard little rocks hit it and bounce off no cracks. We thought it really weird when we were buying the car they offered very pricey insurance for the windshield. We thought what the hell? We know better now. Two windshields in a year. It sucks
