This because: starting with an Ascent 2.4l engine that runs on regular gas, taking 1000 lbs off the weight of the car, adding the use of premium gas but reducing the torque from 1500 to 5000 rpm (where the engine will mostly be used) and ending up with the same fuel economy ad the heavier Ascent is a feat that probably no other automaker could achieve.
