I am the owner of this vehicle and I am the one who reported these concerns. I wanted to reach out to provide an update. Since bringing the car to the service center, Tesla has made the repairs noting this was due to a loose striker plate. They have ALSO repurchased the vehicle – it seems they would prefer the car be in their possession. If thats the case, why do we think that may be…

Moreover, since this incident, the department of transportation has reached out to collect additional information. I suspect there may be another recall in due time.
