I purchased a 2019 Sierra in Oct 2019, fast forward to 2024, truck had 75,000 miles on it, started experiencing hard jerks, shuddering and slippage of the transmission..took it to dealership under 100k powertrain warranty and they replaced torque converter, had it back literally 2 weeks and started experiencing same problem, this time I was told the valve body had serious damage by debris in the system, they replaced main harness along with other repair, vehicle yet again experienced slippage and hot transmission temp, took it to another dealer and had to wait for GM valve body, with no ETA as when part would be available…was in the shop from January 2024- June 2024 before we got it back. The warranty company refused to approve a new transmission even though dealership stated it would be best option. Once the vehicle was retuned, I was told I would probably still experience problem because you can’t get all the metal debris out of the system, I drove it straight to another dealership and traded it in for a Ford. Will never buy GM again. I was told there is a class action lawsuit which I’d love to get further information about.
