If the salesman was more knowledgeable he would have advised the customer to go to Tesla to get the insurance. All my customers qualify for full coverage from Tesla for about $150 to $180 per month with no agent fees.
As far as the charger. If the dealer selling it was a good dealer they would have given the customer a Tesla Travel Charger ($250) This charger plugs in to 110v and 220V. They could have plugged it in to the washer dryer outlet and put a manual switch for when they want to use the dryer. Done less then a few hundred dollars and your customer is saving hundred a month on gasoline and insurance since you won't be able to insure a Honda for those prices.
When people want to misslead to the public it's funny how difficult they make it look. There is no panel change, no new wiring nothing. Just a simple switch to use the dryer circuit. She will get 15 miles an hour charge like this which is plenty to charge the car up overnight.
